This was so good! My best meal in Edinburgh so far. The staff were so friendly and made good recommendations. My only regret is that I didn’t take better pictures. The T Dahl is the best Dahl I’ve ever had. The aubergines were cooked perfectly. I got a half order of each. The rice is the fluffiest I’ve ever had. How do they even do that?! Absolutely recommend, easy bus ride from the city center.

Nepalese restaurant that we went to for a birthday. The secret entrance to the downstairs was a rather cool surprise. We got an alcove to ourselves and settled in. The staff were neither rushing us nor ignoring us, just about right. The food itself was delicious, at first glance Indian but it's subtlety different and has a characteristic of its own. There were six of us, and everyone tried everything and no complaints at all. Drinks were also excellent. I can't remember the name of the smoking one, but it's a tribute to the hippie trail days of the 60s. I'd recommend the Nihari Gohst lamb, which just fell off the bone, but honestly, you can't go wrong here. Outstanding food.

I’d give Anya the server a 6 stars if that was possible! The food was amazing - we had the braised lamb and the chicken dumplings with popadoms as a starter which was a perfect portion size for us. Will definitely return!

One of my favourite places to eat Indian in Edinburgh! Love the atmosphere and the service is really good. Their speakeasy bar is a nice place to have drinks too!

Fantastic food and service. They were very accommodating and gave us a spot while it was a busy evening. The food was very authentic and gave us the taste of Nepal- I liked their Kathmandu curry, which was a mix of dal (lentils), spinach, chicken and unique spices used in their cuisine. The end product was fantastic. Great starters as well.

We had an amazing dinner at Thamel! We found it on a whim just wandering around and it was such an amazing find! The food was excellent and the service was amazing, Nayan was friendly, honest, and impressive in his skill. The cocktails were unlike anything I’d had before and the beers on tap were refreshing. We were too stuffed for dessert but they looked delicious too! Definitely recommend if in Edinburgh!!!

Gorgeous space, great menu, excellent cocktails, impeccable service. The highlights were the gimlet cocktail which was a drink & a show, and the incredible service! Bhavika looked after us so well, always a huge smile, attentive and even made sure I got a treat for my birthday! The food was tasty but I'd give it 8/10 as a few dishes could have had a bit more flavour (but that's subjective I suppose!) I would recommend it to all and will be back soon!
